English Bay Beach, also called First Beach, located along Beach Ave between Gilford St and Bidwell St, is the most populated beach area in Vancouver's downtown area. The Stanley Park Seawall, a popular running and biking route, runs along the east side of the beach.
Perfect spot for people watching or if you are adventurous like Karen, sailing and seeing Vancouver from the water.
Minnekhada Regional Park is a natural park situated in northeast Coquitlam, British Columbia, alongside Pitt-Addington Marsh and the Pitt River. It is over 200 hectares in size and features trails, rock knolls, abundant trees, birds, and other wildlife. 
Mark and his family love the view from the high knoll.
As one of the largest parks in the province, Golden Ears Provincial Park is prized for its recreational opportunities. The extensive system of trails within the park provides an excellent opportunity for hiking and horseback riding.
Alouette Lake is a popular spot for swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, boating, and fishing. The park also has three large campgrounds. 
Explore the flat and scenic dyke trails of Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge along the Alouette River, with views of the mountains and farm fields. Alouette River Dykes Trail is a 14.0 kilometer lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash.
